Our water sports are designed as individual two-hour sessions, giving you the flexibility to book one or several experiences throughout your day. Whether you’re interested in wake and knee boarding, skiing paired with wake and knee boarding, or combining wake and knee boarding with tubing, you can tailor your adventure to suit your interests by scheduling multiple sessions. For those seeking something truly tailored, our Private Charter option lets you merge several water sports into a single, customised two-hour experience. This is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty and excitement of Knysna Lagoon in a manner that’s uniquely yours—the Maverick way.
All our water sport adventures have a professional Skippers and Skippers mate, so you’re in good hands. We provide safety jackets and top-notch gear, including combo ski sets, wake and knee boards, and a four-person tube. Plus, you’ll find snacks, drinks, and blankets on board if you need them—so you can just relax and enjoy the ride.
Absolutely—you can book the boat for private celebrations, corporate outings, or big groups. We offer private charters for any occasion, whether it’s a birthday, anniversary, family get-together, corporate event, team-building activity, or just a special day with friends. If you’ve got something in mind, we’re happy to help make it happen.
To ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable experience, we suggest you pack sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses to protect yourself from the sun. A light jacket can come in handy if the weather turns cool, and bringing your camera will allow you to capture the breathtaking scenery. If you plan to participate in water sports, don’t forget to bring swimwear, a towel, and a change of clothes for convenience and comfort.

All departures take place from The Clubhouse (HQ): 123 Breakwater Point Lagoon Bay, Coastline 90210 situated on the scenic Knysna Lagoon. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive comprehensive details about your departure to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience.

Certainly! Convenient parking is available at The Clubhouse (HQ): 123 Breakwater Point Lagoon Bay, Coastline 90210, and there are also additional public parking options located nearby. This should make your visit hassle-free and ensure you have easy access to the venue.

Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled departure. This extra time will ensure you have ample opportunity to check in, attend the safety briefing, and board the boat without feeling rushed. Arriving promptly also helps us keep the schedule running smoothly for everyone. If you arrive late, you risk missing your adventure entirely, and unfortunately, refunds cannot be provided in such cases. Thank you for helping us make the experience enjoyable for all guests.
Families are always welcome on board, and for added safety, we supply approved life jackets for children under the age of 12. Since we offer exciting water sports adventures, it’s important that all passengers complete a liability waiver in full as part of the booking process. This helps ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Absolutely! Children are invited to join, as long as they satisfy the minimum safety requirements and are under the supervision of a parent or guardian when necessary. Please keep in mind that every passenger, including children, is required to complete a liability waiver during the booking process.
Yes, you can book a private charter. If your preferred time slot is open, you have the option to reserve the entire boat exclusively for your group. This feature is available during the booking process, allowing you to select the time that best suits your needs and enjoy a tailored experience.
Your safety is our priority. We monitor weather conditions closely and, if it is unsafe to operate, we will offer an alternative date or time. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be provided

Lagoon Mavericks is based on the beautiful Knysna Lagoon, where the majority of our experiences take place.  Depending on the season, weather and sea conditions, selected adventures may also venture beyond the lagoon, offering our guests an even greater variety of exciting water-based experiences.

Each session includes complimentary refreshments and light snacks for your enjoyment. If you have particular preferences or dietary needs, feel free to bring your own items.  Our onboard fridge drawers are available to keep things cool and fresh throughout your Maverick adventure.

We provide combo water-skis, wake & knee boards, 4-person tube, life jackets, and all required safety equipment.
Yes. You’re welcome to bring your own skis or wake & knee board if you prefer.
Absolutely not. Our sessions are designed to accommodate everyone, from those just starting out to riders with significant experience. The skipper will customise the outing to match your skill level and ensure you feel confident on the water.
For your comfort, we recommend wearing swimwear and bringing a towel, as well as a light jacket to stay warm during your time on board. To help us maintain the condition of our boat, please wear or bring only soft-soled footwear, such as flip-flops or trainers, or feel free to go barefoot while onboard. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Swimming is not part of our standard water sports packages. Short, supervised swimming breaks may be offered at the skipper’s discretion and weather permitting.
Yes. Approved life jackets are provided for every guest and must always be worn during water sports activities.
Yes, but we recommend using a waterproof case or dry bag, particularly during water sports. Lagoon Mavericks cannot accept responsibility for lost or water-damaged personal items.

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted on any of our water sports sessions.

Yes. Please refer to our Booking Terms & Conditions for our cancellation and rescheduling policy.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled adventure to allow time for check-in, safety briefing and boarding.

For private, family or group bookings, late arrivals may result in a shortened session to keep the next scheduled adventure running to schedule.

For individual bookings, the vessel will depart at the scheduled time. If you arrive after departure, your booking will be forfeited, and no refund will be provided.

Absolutely. Safety is fundamental to every Lagoon Mavericks adventure. Our vessel is professionally maintained and manufactured and fitted out to meet applicable South African maritime safety requirements and Category E operating standards.

The vessel is equipped with the appropriate safety equipment and systems for our operations and is maintained to a high professional standard. Every adventure is led by a qualified and experienced skipper, responsible for safe vessel operation, navigation and the wellbeing of our guests.

Prior to departure, the necessary operational and safety checks are completed, and weather and water conditions are assessed to ensure each adventure can be conducted safely and responsibly.

Your safety comes first. Please listen to and follow all instructions given by your skipper and crew throughout your Lagoon Mavericks experience.
